Explore space and time by playing with sound.
Inspired by the rhythm of the well known Ping Pong game, this interactive installation allows the visitors to act as live performers, creating music while playing. Each movement creates different sound effects: reverb, pitch shift, panning (between left and right speakers).

How does it work?
The paddles act as a music controller, and hitting the ball with each pad will have different effects on the sound.
The ping pong paddle is a synthesizer that creates different scales starting from a root note.
If you hit the ball with the red pad, the root note will change to a random different note.
If you hit the ball with the black pad, a different scale will start playing based on the currently selected root note.
The tempo of the music is dictated by the rhythm in which the players hit the balls.
Blue player controls the bass synthesizer (low frequencies), while purple player controls the mainsynthesizer (high frequencies).
